Mission Statement:
The St. Rose of Lima Music Club Program is an after-school musical arts program comprised of students from Kinder – 8th grade. This program will give kids opportunity to perform and learn how to play instruments such as ukulele, piano, guitar, bass guitar and percussions.

Objective:
Their objective is to be able to play for school/church mass, events and outside performances.

Requirements for advance students
1. Must own an ukulele, guitar, bass guitar or cajon. Piano will be provided
2. Must be able to tune with a tuner and recognize the notes for each string
3. Must be able to play these cords (C, F, G) and easily transition from each chord and maintain a beat
4. Read chords and maintain a beat
Requirements for beginner students
1. Must be able to handle your selected instrument
2. Must be able to learn how to tune with a tuner and recognize the notes for each string (1st Quarter)
3. Must be able to learn how to play these cords (C, F, G) and easily transition from each chord after the 1st quarter.

Playing for Mass or Events
1. The student must show that they can read and transition chords
2. The student must be able to follow with the group
3. Advance team will be playing for mass right away.

• Purpose:
o to help support and organize this club through donations and fundraisers.
o To help promote this club

Organize donations and sponsorships
• Need a parent to log in donations and give out receipts if they need it.
• Need a parent to create a sponsorship program
Organize fundraisers
• Need a parent to help plan & create a team

Rehearsal Routine:
2:00 pm:
- Music Prayer
- Rhythm Class (Sticks/Percussion
- Play Together: When group is ready to play their instruments.
2:15 pm: Beginner Session (Ukulele/Guitar/Piano/Percussion) – Note: Parents & Advance Team will help
2:40 pm: Advance Team (moves to the other room) & Beginners stay to review chords for 10 minutes
2:50 pm: End

Rehearsal:
• 20 minutes will be dedicated for each instruments (group instruction)
• next 15 minutes will be dedicated to focus each individual with their partners
• next 20 minutes will be dedicated to practice together

Practice Frequency:
All Grades: Monday at 2pm – 2:50pm

Attire for Events:
School Mass: School Uniform
Special Events: Music Club Shirt and school pants

Registration Fee: $60
